HELD RESPONSIBILITY & LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Please read this document carefully before registering for a Held retreat. By submitting payment and participating in this experience, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms.

Third-Party Services & Travel Providers

The Seen Collective, LLC coordinates retreat experiences that may include accommodations, transportation, excursions, experiences, meals, wellness offerings, and other services provided by third-party vendors, suppliers, operators, or local providers.

These third-party providers are independent entities and are not employees, agents, or representatives of The Seen Collective, LLC.

While reasonable care is taken in selecting reputable providers, The Seen Collective, LLC is not responsible for the acts, omissions, negligence, delays, interruptions, errors, accidents, injuries, losses, damages, or failures of any third-party service provider.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• airlines,

• hotels,

• transportation companies,

• excursion operators,

• restaurants,

• wellness practitioners,

• activity providers,

• or other independent vendors.

Assumption of Risk

Participation in international travel and retreat experiences involves inherent risks that cannot be eliminated entirely.

These risks may include, but are not limited to:

• illness,

• injury,

• emotional distress,

• travel delays,

• transportation disruptions,

• accidents,

• weather events,

• natural disasters,

• political instability,

• communicable illness exposure,

• theft,

• physical activity risks,

• ocean/water-related activities,

• food-related illness,

• and other unforeseen circumstances.

By participating, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with travel and retreat participation, whether known or unknown.

Emotional & Psychological Responsibility

Held retreats may involve emotionally reflective experiences, interpersonal connection, guided discussions, nervous system-focused practices, or other experiences that may feel emotionally activating or personally meaningful.

However:

• Held retreats are not psychotherapy,

• not clinical mental health treatment,

• not crisis care,

• and not a substitute for medical or psychiatric care.

Participation in a retreat does not establish a therapist-client relationship with The Seen Collective, LLC, retreat facilitators, staff, contractors, or presenters.

Participants remain fully responsible for:

• their own emotional wellbeing,

• mental health care,

• medical care,

• medication management,

• personal boundaries,

• decision-making,

• and obtaining additional support if needed before, during, or after the retreat.

The Seen Collective, LLC is not responsible for emotional responses, psychological experiences, interpersonal conflicts, trauma responses, breakthroughs, distress, or outcomes arising during or after participation in the retreat experience.

Medical Responsibility

Participants acknowledge and agree that The Seen Collective, LLC:

• does not provide medical care,

• does not provide emergency medical services,

• and is not responsible for medical expenses incurred during or after the retreat.

Participants are solely responsible for:

• obtaining appropriate medical care,

• maintaining medications,

• securing travel insurance,

• and covering any medical, evacuation, transportation, hospitalization, or emergency-related costs.

Changes, Delays & Force Majeure

The Seen Collective, LLC reserves the right to modify retreat itineraries, accommodations, transportation, facilitators, activities, or schedules when reasonably necessary due to:

• weather,

• safety concerns,

• local conditions,

• vendor changes,

• illness,

• transportation disruptions,

• political events,

• natural disasters,

• pandemics,

• labor disputes,

• governmental actions,

• or other circumstances beyond reasonable control.

The Seen Collective, LLC shall not be liable for losses, expenses, injuries, delays, cancellations, inconveniences, or damages arising from such circumstances.

Cancellation & Financial Responsibility

Participants acknowledge that retreat payments are subject to the cancellation terms outlined in the separate Terms & Conditions agreement.

The Seen Collective, LLC is not responsible for:

• airfare losses,

• travel expenses,

• missed connections,

• unused accommodations,

• or non-refundable participant expenses.

Participants are required to obtain comprehensive travel insurance.

Participant Conduct & Community Safety

Held retreats are grounded in mutual respect, consent, emotional safety, and community care.

The Seen Collective, LLC reserves the right to refuse participation or remove a participant from the retreat without refund if behavior is determined to:

• create safety concerns,

• violate community agreements,

• involve harassment or discrimination,

• significantly disrupt the retreat environment,

• exceed the scope of support the retreat can appropriately provide,

• or negatively impact the wellbeing of the group.

Participants remain responsible for their own conduct and choices throughout the retreat experience.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Seen Collective, LLC, its owners, facilitators, employees, contractors, presenters, affiliates, and representatives shall not be liable for:

• personal injury,

• illness,

• emotional distress,

• psychological harm,

• property damage,

• financial loss,

• delays,

• cancellations,

• travel disruptions,

• or any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from participation in the retreat experience.

Participants acknowledge that participation is voluntary and undertaken at their own risk.

Agreement

By signing up for the SEEN retreat, I acknowledge that:

• I have read and understood this Responsibility & Limitation of Liability Agreement,

• I understand the inherent risks associated with travel and retreat participation,

• and I voluntarily agree to these terms.
