Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before registering for or attending a Witnessed Retreat hosted by The Seen Collective. By submitting an application, paying a deposit, or attending a retreat, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. About The Seen Collective
Witnessed Retreats are hosted by The Seen Collective, founded by Jennifer Creson, a licensed counselor and retreat facilitator based in New Mexico. The Seen Collective is not a medical or mental health treatment provider. Witnessed Retreats are personal development and wellness experiences, not therapy or clinical treatment.
2. Registration & Payment
A non-refundable deposit of $1,500 is required to reserve your space at a Witnessed Retreat. This deposit confirms your participation and is applied toward your total retreat investment.
The remaining balance is due no later than 60 days prior to the retreat start date. Failure to submit full payment by this date may result in forfeiture of your space and deposit.
Payment plans are available upon request. Please indicate this in your application and we will work with you to find an arrangement that works.
All prices are listed in US dollars. The Seen Collective reserves the right to update pricing for future retreats.
3. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Cancellations by the guest:
If you cancel your registration more than 90 days before the retreat start date, you will receive a full refund minus your $1,500 non-refundable deposit.
If you cancel between 60 and 90 days before the retreat start date, you will receive a 50% refund of the balance paid, minus the deposit.
If you cancel fewer than 60 days before the retreat start date, no refund will be issued. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your investment.
You may have the opportunity to transfer your registration to another eligible participant prior to the retreat, but your replacement is subject to approval by The Seen Collective for rightness of fit with the rest of the group. Please contact us at hello@theseencollective.org to arrange a transfer.
Cancellations by The Seen Collective:
In the unlikely event that The Seen Collective must cancel a retreat due to circumstances beyond our control - including but not limited to natural disaster, venue closure, illness, or insufficient enrollment - you will receive a full refund of all payments made, including your deposit. The Seen Collective is not responsible for any additional costs incurred by participants, including flights, travel insurance, or accommodation booked independently.
If a retreat must be postponed rather than cancelled, participants will be offered the option to transfer their registration to the rescheduled date or receive a full refund.
4. What's Included & Excluded
Each Witnessed Retreat is all-inclusive and covers the following:
Six nights accommodation in a luxury suite at Garza Blanca Preserve Resort & Spa, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. All meals and non-alcoholic beverages throughout the retreat. All retreat programming, facilitation, and group experiences. Access to resort amenities including pools, beach, fitness center, yoga classes, guided hikes, and kayaking. Airport transfers to and from Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport (PVR). A closing experience and ritual on the final day. Access to The Witnessed Circle alumni community following the retreat.
The following are not included:
Flights to and from Puerto Vallarta. Spa treatments at Spa Imagine or any additional paid services at the resort. Alcoholic beverages. Personal shopping, excursions, or activities outside of the retreat program. Travel insurance (strongly recommended). Any costs incurred due to early or late departure or early or late arrival.
5. Health & Wellbeing Disclaimer
Witnessed Retreats are personal development and wellness experiences. They are not a substitute for professional mental health treatment, medical care, or therapy.
By registering for a Witnessed Retreat, you confirm that you are in a stable state of mental and physical health and that participation in a group retreat setting is appropriate for you at this time. If you have any concerns about whether this experience is right for you, we encourage you to speak with your healthcare provider before registering.
The Seen Collective and its facilitators are not liable for any physical or psychological outcomes resulting from participation in a retreat experience.
6. Accessibility
The Seen Collective is committed to making Witnessed Retreats as accessible as possible. If you have accessibility needs, please disclose them during the application process and we will do our best to accommodate you. Please refer to our FAQ for more detailed information about accessibility at Garza Blanca Preserve Resort & Spa.
7. Photography & Media Consent
The Seen Collective may photograph or film portions of the retreat for use in marketing, social media, and promotional materials. No participant will be photographed or filmed without their explicit prior consent. You will be asked to indicate your preferences during the application process and again at the start of the retreat.
If you consent to being photographed or filmed, you grant The Seen Collective a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use your likeness in connection with the promotion of Witnessed Retreats and The Seen Collective. You may withdraw consent at any time by notifying us in writing at hello@theseencollective.org.
8. Confidentiality & Community Agreement
Witnessed Retreats are intimate, confidential experiences. What is shared in the retreat space stays in the retreat space. Participants are expected to respect the privacy and confidentiality of all other participants at all times, including after the retreat has concluded.
The Seen Collective reserves the right to remove any participant from a retreat - without refund - if their behavior is deemed harmful, disruptive, or inconsistent with the values of the community.
9. Email Communications
By joining our waitlist or submitting an application, you may receive emails from The Seen Collective related to retreat updates, community news, and relevant content. You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us at hello@theseencollective.org.
We will never sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, The Seen Collective and its founder, facilitators, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your participation in a Witnessed Retreat, including but not limited to personal injury, property loss, or emotional distress.
Our total liability to any participant shall not exceed the total amount paid by that participant for the retreat.
11. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, United States. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of New Mexico.
12. Changes to These Terms
The Seen Collective reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued participation in any retreat or community offering constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
